The National Reined Cow Horse Association Snaffle Bit Futurity Open rein work preliminaries came to completion on Monday, October 8, 2018, in Fort Worth, Texas, at the Will Rogers Memorial Center.
NRCHA Million Dollar Rider Corey Cushing piloted Hott Rod (Hottish x Sugars Smart Kitty x High Brow Cat) to a score of 222. This preliminary win is accompanied with a $5,000 paycheck, Gist custom buckle and NRHA Lawson Trophy.
Hott Rod’s owner Lynne Wurzer is no stranger to winner’s circle. The Arizona professional, Cushing, rode Good Time (One Time Pepto x Dual Nurse x Dual Rey), also owned by Wurzer, to the 2014 NRCHA Snaffle Bit Futurity Open Championship. Will this dynamic owner-rider team repeat history?
The action will resume at 8:00 am CST on Tuesday, October 9, 2018, with the Open Hackamore Classic herd work, followed by the Level One Limited Open Futurity herd work. If you’re unable to join us in person, the FREE, LIVE broadcast can be viewed at www.NRCHA.com.
