Between 3rd and 7th August this year over 100 drivers from 20 nations will compete in the FEI Single Driving World Championships in Piber, making it the most important equestrian event to be held in Austria during 2016.
With the baroque Castle of Piber forming a stunning backdrop and within the grounds of the world famous Lippizaner Stud Farm, the organising team lead by Dr Max Dobretsberger, Hubert Scherz and Rudolf Seidler are creating the exhibitors village, side events and a framework programme alongside this prestigious sporting event.
The powerful, dynamic discipline will be held in three stages; the elegant dressage, the marathon and the challenging obstacle course. The more than 20,000 visitors during the weekend can expect tension and excitement until the very last round.
“After the successful Danubian Alps Cup, as part of the World Cup 2014, it seemed logical to showcase the highest driving skills against the magnificent backdrop of the castle and Lippizaner Stud” said stud manager Dr Max Dobretsberger, “Piber will be an unforgettable experience” he assures.
So. Save the dates and plan your Piber2016! We are looking forward to see you there.
