The Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games 2014 in Normandy: The Essential Guide

Just days away from the event opening, the Normandy 2014 Organizing Committee gives us a reminder of the key information below so that spectators are accommodated at the different competition venues in the best possible conditions. Change of timetable for certain competitions:
Due to the record number of nations and athletes competing in the 7th edition of the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games 2014 in Normandy, it should be noted that there is a change of timetable for certain competitions.
The main changes to note are as follows: 
– Dressage starts at 8:15am instead of 9am from Monday 25 August
– Showjumping starts at 9:10am instead of 10am from Tuesday 2 September
– Cross-country of Eventing starts at 10am instead of 10:30am on Saturday 30 August

Alltech Music Festival:
Pre-booking of places is imperative on the Games ticketing website if you wish to attend the concerts, even for those with tickets to the competitions, which give you the right to free access (due to a limit of 10,000 persons per night). Prepare now: HERE.  
For 4 of the 8 concerts – Kool and the Gang 24/08 – Casseurs Flowters 30/08 – Joyce Jonathan & Louis Bertignac 4/09 – Aloe Blacc 5/09 – the ticket does not allow direct access to the Alltech Music Festival and must be exchanged for a bracelet prior to 4pm on the day of the concert.
– In the Games Village: ticket offices at the Zénith (concerts on 24/08 and 30/08), ticket office at the Parc des Expositions (Exhibition Centre) (concerts on 4/08 and 5/08)
– Information kiosk at the competition venues in the d'Ornano Stadium and the Hippodrome (racecourse) (Gate B)
– In Caen: at the Cargö – Adress: 9 cours caffarelli

Reminder of the rates: average ticket price 25, -50% for the under 12s and -20% for those with Cart@too or Spot 50 and students from the Caen Basse-Normandie University. 
The Games Village:
Entry to the Village is free with a competition ticket otherwise it costs 5 – free for children under 12 years of age

Each competition site boasts appropriate parking spaces.

The traffic around the competition venues:
The public authorities have all rallied together to optimize conditions for getting to and from the venues for spectators, those with accreditation as well as locals during the Games period. A certain number of measures have been implemented to relieve the traffic around the competition venues and suggest alternatives for road users. Spectators and road users are invited to carefully follow the instructions and stick to the traffic schemes organized by the public authorities.
