Cutler Farm Dressage in Medfield, Massachusetts is poised to establish itself as the number one destination for dressage in New England. With Pan American Team Gold Medalist and Olympic Reserve Rider Heather Blitz as the resident head trainer and a full schedule of clinics and educational events, Cutler is ready to welcome dressage enthusiasts to its beautifully appointed facility for an unforgettable and inspiring educational experience.
Cutler Farm is owned by attorney Donna Cameron, who is looking forward to sharing the farm’s unique approach to equestrian sport with fellow dressage aficionados. In addition to training programs with Blitz and assistant trainer Katie Robicheaux, Cutler offers regular classes and private instruction in Pilates, yoga, and other movement modalities to enhance each rider’s level of effectiveness on the horse.
Things kick off on October 27th, when the Charles River Dressage Association hosts an un-mounted clinic with Heather Blitz and Katie Robicheaux, as part of its annual member meeting.
Then, on November 8-10, the Farm will present Mary Wanless, the internationally renowned coach and author of the 'Ride with Your Mind' books. Wanless is well known for coaching Cutler Farm trainer Heather Blitz and contributing greatly to Blitz’s success on the world stage.
Mary Wanless’ bio-mechanical approach to coaching benefits riders at all levels, from relative novices to top U.S. dressage riders and members of the Canadian eventing squad. She has a B.Sc. degree in Physics and Applied Sports Coaching, and also holds BHSI certification. Wanless studied with (the late) Nuno Oliveira and Egon Von Neindorff and trained in Germany with Hans Heinrich Meyer-Zu-Strohen.
Wanless has coached Cutler Farm's head trainer, Heather Blitz, for two decades, culminating in a reciprocal coaching relationship that is now destined to benefit New England dressage enthusiasts.
“Heather,” says Wanless, “has brought to the Ride with Your Mind approach her own unique way of ‘getting through' to horses of all types and dispositions. She is a genius at it and one of the best living examples of correct rider biomechanics.”
Heather and Donna are already working on clinics and educational events for the end of this year before heading off to Florida for the winter season. Stay tuned for information about a spectacular Ride- Critique-Ride clinic with FEI *** judge and competitor Cesar Torrente in late November.
“As a premier NEDA educational sponsor, our commitment is to offering the best dressage facility in New England,” says Cameron. Cutler Farm brings world-class dressage and Olympic caliber training to New England with a fully-appointed barn featuring state of the art indoor/outdoor arenas, miles of trails and lush pastures, a fully equipped Pilates studio headed by Lisa Carusone (a classically trained Pilates instructor as well as dressage rider) and numerous spa-like amenities not found elsewhere.
