As part of Blue Star Museums, the American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame & Museum welcomes military personnel and their families with free admission May 30 through September 5.

The American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame & Museum welcomes military personnel and their families with free admission May 30 through September 5.

The American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame & Museum is participating in Blue Star Museums and will offer free admission to all active-duty military personnel and their families from Memorial Day, May 30, until Labor Day, September 5. The American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame & Museum is one of more than 1,300 museums across America participating in the Blue Start Museums program, which is a partnership with the museums as well as the National Endowment for the Arts and Blue Star Families.

"The American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame & Museum wants to thank military personnel and their families for their service and sacrifice for our country," said Museum Director Ross Middleton.

Leadership support has been provided by MetLife Foundation through Blue Star Families. The complete list of participating museums is available at www.arts.gov/bluestarmuseums.

The American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame & Museum is located at 2601 East I-40 in Amarillo, Texas.

Hours of operation are Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Youth (ages 6-18): $2
Adults: $6
Seniors (55 and older): $5
Children (5 & under): Free
