PhelpsSports.com is pleased to announce that Jennifer Wood was recognized with the 2006 United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) Pegasus Award for Media for Single News Article. Her award winning article, "USAÕs Kent Farrington and Madison Stay the Course for a Win in KL Grand Prix in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia," was written on April 29 as a press release for the news website PhelpsSports.com.

Wood has worked as an account executive and writer for Phelps Media Group, Inc. International for more than two years and is a regular contributor to PhelpsSports.com. Her press release was distributed everywhere as an example of what would be available on the website when it launched in August 2006.

The USEF Pegasus Award Ceremony was held at noon on January 11, 2007, at the Seelbach Hilton Hotel in Louisville, KY. A Welcome Luncheon and awards banquet honored guests, and David OÕConnor, president of the USEF, delivered a speech to the crowd and presented the awards.

"I was so surprised to win this award," commented Wood. "There were only two writing awards given, and even to be considered in the category is an honor."

In addition to the FEI World Cup Jumping Finals in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Wood has also covered such prestigious events as the World Equestrian Games in Aachen, Germany, and the opening leg of the 2006 Samsung Super League in La Baule, France. In 2007, she will attend the FEI Rolex World Cup Jumping Finals in Las Vegas after extensively covering the Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington, FL.
