Hello Dr. Lowder!

I would first like to thank you for answering my previous questions that I have e-mailed you with before. Your responses have all been very helpful! I have one more question for now… I have gotten very many views on this subject though, and I thought maybe a professional would know the correct answer.

My 4 yr old gelding is about 15.3 almost 16 hands… Is he done growing yet?

He looks very unproportioned. He is a little skinny but has long legs. How old are horses when they are done filling out and up? Thank you for your time. Any advice would be helpful.

Sincerly,
Caitlin

Most horses will grow up and out to about 6-7 years of age.

Thanks for the kind words.
