Hi my name is Julia Ward of Potomac Maryland of the USA. And this is my love story: I was only 2 years old when my Nana drove me over to a farm called Potomac Horse Center. We only lived less than 5 minutes away. My Nana would take my brother and I everyday for years. But the funny thing was that I was afraid of horses not my brother. But I fell in love with them anyway. Soon my mother enrolled my in riding lessons when I was 3 going on 4 years old. I started to take riding lessons over at my best friends barn called Windfall over in Darnestown Maryland. I have ridden and experienced so many memories there. For example, my first fall a horse and getting my first, second, and third ponies living there. Riding them everyday and them being my best friend is my love for them.

I now do is a discipline called eventing (Karen and David O’Conner do) ! I’m having a blast competing my horse QT and my brand new horse Squeeze. QT is a 17 year old purebred Thoroughbred, chestnut gelding. He’s the grandson of the triple-crown winner, CarryBack.I have been competing him for almost 4 years.

In January, I bought a horse named Squeezable Softly. She’s a purebred Thoroughbred, chestnut mare. She is just turned 5 years old. She’s a cousin of QT and the granddaughter of Secretariat. How cool is that? Well, I have been in love with horses for 10 years and have formed a never ending relationship with them.
