I own 4 great horses that I love very much. My first horse is a liver chestnut, Q H gelding, about 15.2 hh, and the sweetest, most lovable horse ever. He was 18 when I bought him, I know, what was I thinking?

But he turned out to be the best horse for a kid just learning. He taught me everything- How to do dressage. How to stay on through that crazy cross country that we both love so much. Most importantly, how to love horses.

Well I know your thinking that a horse this old (29!!!) must be in horrible shape but he is doing wonderful. I teach lessons on him 3 times a week. He walks, trots, canters and still even jumps small things. He is definitely the boss of the field. Everyone in our pony club has ridden him in lessons and camps and everyone knows him, and loves him.

I often run into someone that I don’t even know and they will say "Hi, I rode your horse Chigger about 5 years ago at camp!".

Chigger is truly a blessing in my life.
