Is it poisonous….

We've been thinking about planting blue bonnets on our ranch. In our researching we have read in one article that said they are poisonous to horses and cattle and in another article it said horses and cattle will not eat blue bonnets. Do you know if they are poisonous or not? We've been thinking about planting blue bonnets on our ranch. Sara,

Most species of blue bonnets (Lupinus spp.) are not toxic but some are. They include: Silvery lupine, Kellog’s Spurred lupine, Tall Silvery lupine, Evermans lupine, Douglas Spurred lupine, Wooly Leafted lupine, Nootka lupine and Silky lupine

Hope this helps.
