At what age should my stallion be to begin breeding?

I have an 11 month old stallion that I am keeping for breeding. I was going to wait until he was 2 years, but I have some friends who would like to breed now. Is he capable? All his parts are in place and he looks well developed. He seems to be interested.I have an 11 month old stallion that I am keeping for breeding. Diane:

Wait until the horse is two. Yes, he can do it now but it would not be in his best interest. If you start breeding him too young you are going to end up with a hard to control stallion.
