The first time I ever saw my horse, ZG, I thought he was cute and looked strong, just an everday thought about a horse. I rode him and I liked him a lot. I came back other days to try him out to see if I would buy him. One day I came to the ranch to just see if my old shipping boots would fit him. I went to the huge 1 mile sq. pasture that he was kept in. I saw all the horses and thought it would be impossible to find ZG after I had only sen him about 3 times in my life. I didnt even have a picture of him in my head to look for. I walked for a while shouting "ZG!!!!" and then stopped and was about to turn back. Then a brown horse came running up tp me, and I knew it was him.

Its hard to explain how I knew it, though. There was just a feeling inside that told me, here he is, this is your future horse. Soon after that I bought him. I had never felt so close to a horse as I did to him. Even for the first few days I knew we were meant for each other. After I had owned him for about 4 days I took him to a show thinking "what the heck, he’s gotta have a first show sometime." And as it turned out, we got reserve champion.

I really wasn’t very surprised though, because I knew we were just meant to be together! Even now, I know that there is some special connection between us. It’s like he uderstands what I’m saying, and I him. Even thinking about him makes me feel warm inside!
