Okay, I have been riding horses ever science I was born. When I was 9 years old, some people had found a pony in their barn (that was 31 years old) that they had moved into and they had tried to get hold of the people who they had bought the property from but they couldn’t so, they started boarding the Pony at my grandpa’s ranch … this Pony was abandon, had no name, and refused to be roped by a person it took 14 1/2 days to catch the pony and to just to bring her over to my grandpa’s…

(Well my grandpa used to live in Canada then he moved to Washington after he was in World War 2 then he herded all the Angus cattle down to California) and he couldn’t catch the Pony … so they were going to put her down because every 3 months she would colic until I came and sat in the pen for 3 hours and we looked straight in the eyes then out of the blue she approached me and was not scared any more.

I stared working with the pony and named her "Lilly" because a Lilliepad has it’s ups and downs and attitudes and so did Lilly. Then 2 years later the people who were boarding her left without a word then she was mine… I trained her so well that she went after cows that were bigger then HER!

She could go through the barrels with excellent time she jumped jumps that were 3 times her size. She was a great roping PONY too. To bad people missed out on such a best friend.

Sadly, she died 3 days before my birthday On April, 4, 2001.

This is to my best Friend… Lilly.

Sincerely,
Rhiannon Hinton
