On closer examination the inside heel bulb was wacked off with the same wire. Can this crack be cleaned and gauged w/dremmel and packed with a two part epoxie and fiberglass patch or staples to make it immoble. I thought about making a shoe or ever a bar shoe and undercut the heel as both butresses are present. A later development, offside hock, toe draging etc.

Am I waisting my time w/this horse? She was well trained as a reiner at one time. How late can I breed her.

Michael,

You seem to have a good hold on the shoeing part of it. I would suggest an egg bar shoe to give support to the entire heal area. The toe dragging on the right rear hock could be a patella problem. She needs to have a good lameness examine done on her. I wish I could tell you more but without examining her it is impossible.

Thanks,
