Carol Rose Quarter Horses Complete Dispersal Sale

Carol Rose, the American Quarter Horse Association's (AQHA) All-Time Leading Breeder of Performance Horses, has announced a complete dispersal sale, to be held August 15-17 at the ranch in Gainesville, Texas.

The dispersal will include all stallions, broodmares and prospects, headed by A Shiner Named Sioux (Shining Spark x Docs Sulena x Doc O'Lena). The 2006 stallion was the 2011 AQHA World Champion Jr Working Cow Horse, the 2011 NRHA Open Derby Co-Reserve Champion, and the 2010 AQHA Jr Reining World Champion. An earner of more than $152,000, A Shiner Named Sioux's first foals arrived in 2011.

Rose has bred 49 AQHA World and Reserve World Championships, 13 AQHA National All-Around Champions, and earners of more than $3,400,000. An intense supporter of the AQHA Incentive Fund, Carol is the leader in all Incentive Fund categories: foals bred, nominated and owned; total money earned; and nominated sires' earnings. Foals bred by Carol Rose have earned more than 290 ROM awards, as well as 184 Superior Awards in halter, cutting, calf roping, heading, heeling, reining, western riding, trail, western pleasure, barrel racing and reined cow horse, and more than 530 AQHA all-around titles.

Rose has indicated she will keep only one broodmare and a few select show horses for her personal use. The dispersal is not expected to include the ranch property, which is available through private sale. For more information, contact Carol Rose Quarter Horses at 940-665-9304 or www.carolrose.com.
