Together Wachman and Viejo Vaquero have appeared on CBS Sunday Morning, Horses Today Show, Modern Bride Magazine, Country Music Television, and more, to promote Arizona Cowboy College. Arizona Cowboy College teaches the basics of being a cowboy, from knot tying to saddling and shoeing your own horse. A total of six days are spent outside of Scottsdale, Ariz.; two of which are spent getting the basics down at Arizona Cowboy College and the remainder of the period is spent on a ranch doing whatever needs attended to. This can be anything from fixing fence, moving water lines, herding cattle, castrating bulls, etc. From beginners to experienced riders, people come back time and again from as far away as Barvaria, Germany and Ecuador to go back 100 years and learn what it takes to be a real cowboy. Senior instructor Rocco Wachman, along with his trusty sidekick Viejo Vaquero, are there to teach the riders safety, techniques, and the importance of what it takes every step of the way. "Viejo Vaquero is honest and that's the best compliment I could ever give a horse," says Wachman. The Appaloosa Horse Club is the international breed registry for Appaloosa horses and is located in Moscow, Idaho. Since 1938, the ApHC has been dedicated to the preservation and promotion of the breed. Agile, intelligent and distinctively colorful, Appaloosas excel in a variety of events, and are beloved around the world for their even temperaments and reliability.
