The 2002 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo broadcast on ESPN2 was among the nominees for the 24th Annual Sports Emmy Awards, as announced March 20 by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. The Sports Emmys are given to sports broadcasters and industry professionals in several categories.
The Wrangler NFR on ESPN2 is one of five nominees in the Outstanding Live Event Turnaround category. The following individuals from the production company Winnercomm in Tulsa, Okla., were a part of the team: Jed Drake and Doug Wren, executive producers; Mo Davenport, Senior Coordinator; Bill Graff, Coordinating Producer; Paul Bronsteader and Corbin Daily, producers; David Newman, director; Jerry Howard, associate producer; and Stacy Ratliff, associate director.
The 24th Annual Sports Emmy Awards will be presented April 21 at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York.
