The National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) Derby hosted the High School Reining Championship for NRHA and Interscholastic Equestrian Association (IEA) members. At the end of the class, Paisley Roberts won the championship with a score of 149.5 aboard Custom Made Pistol donated to the competition by Ashley Dunn and owner Sambambyr Farm.

The National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) Derby hosted North America’s top collegiate riders in the NRHA Collegiate Reining Championship. The championship consisted of 12 riders: four from the National Collegiate Equestrian Association (NCEA), four from the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) and four selected by NRHA.

The NRHA Derby Show is NRHA’s premiere event for the world’s best 4-, 5- and 6-year-old reining horses. This year’s Derby finals were the richest ever paying out approximately $961,000 to owners and nominators of open and non pro finalists.

Oklahoma City, Okla. - June 23, 2014 - The 2014 National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) Derby held its third day of competition on June 23 including the first go, first section of the $321,000 est. Non Pro, plus five ancillary classes for open and rookie riders. The NRHA Derby Non Pro continues on Tuesday with the finals being held Friday, June 27 in the Jim Norick Coliseum at Oklahoma State Fair Park in Oklahoma City.
