The National Barrel Horse Association and its National Partner Wrangler introduce two new exciting programs for barrel racers: Major Money Shows and the Wrangler All-Star Team.

Nationwide Competition
For the first time ever, barrel racers can compete in a truly nationwide yearly competition based on money won in divisional-format barrel racing events. Barrel racers from across the country will contend for a coveted spot in NBHA's Wrangler All-Star Standings, which will represent Major Money Show winners from every corner of the nation. Being at the top of the Wrangler All-Star Standings will pay off at the end of the year, when the top 200 are named NBHA's Wrangler All-Star Team.



Major Money Shows
NBHA's Major Money Show program will track riders' earnings at added-money NBHA shows. Every NBHA-sanctioned show with at least $1000 added will count as a Major Money Show when the show's producer sends results to NBHA in Augusta.

Wrangler All-Star Standings
Every NBHA Member who wins money at a Major Money Show is tracked in the Wrangler All-Star Standings. The top 50 money-earners in each division of the Wrangler All-Star Standings will be published each month in the NBHA section of Barrel Horse News and on NBHA's official website, www.NBHA.com. At the end of 2003, the top 50 money-earners in each division will be named NBHA's Wrangler All-Star Team and will receive prizes from Wrangler.

Each of NBHA's 2003 National Shows and World Championship Shows will count as Major Money Shows:

Dixie National Show, Asheville NC, April 4-6
Heartland National Show, Wichita KS, April 25-27
Great Lakes National Show, Gifford IL, May 2-4
Cowboy National Show, Abilene TX, May 30-June 1
Pacific National Show, Paso Robles CA, June 7-8
Western National Show, Ogden UT, June 21-22
Youth & Teen World Championship Show, Jackson MS, July 28-August 2
Colonial National Show, Lexington VA, August 15-17
Drysdales Super Show, Tulsa OK, September 4-7
Mid-South National Show, Memphis TN, September 26-28
Open & Senior World Championship Show, Augusta GA, October 27-November 1

Remember: Every NBHA-sanctioned show with at least $1000 added - from State Championships to Super Shows to District shows - can count as a Major Money Show, as long as the producer sends the show results to NBHA.
