As a way to better reflect what it is and does, the Parelli Education Institute has announced that the organization has been renamed the Parelli Foundation. “We remain an independent, 501(c) 3 organization,” explains Executive Director Lori Northrup, “But now, we will be able to exclusively focus on our mission: programs and philanthropy for youth, horse welfare, therapeutic horsemanship and equine talent and career development scholarships. We have some exciting things in the works!”
The Washington International Horse Show (WIHS) is pleased to announce the wildly popular WIHS Shetland Pony Steeplechase Championship Series, presented by Charles Owen, will be off and running again in 2015. The entertaining event features pint-sized jockeys in colorful silks racing the cutest, fluffiest Shetland Ponies to the cheers of spectators of all ages.
After a brilliant start in the current performance season, the Spanish Riding School is already preparing intensively for the anniversary performances, which will take place in June of the current year. Apart from the classic performances where the riders together with their Lipizzaner stallions present the High School of Classical Horsemanship and the programme of the Morning Exercise, which serves as daily exercise for the horses, our riders have yet started to train diligently for the gala performance at the Heldenplatz Square, taking place from June 25 to June 27.
