Scott Monroe (Sharon, CT) and his black Morgan gelding Bethesda After Dark ("Shadow") held onto their marathon lead and after Sunday's cone phase won the USEF National Single Horse Championship at Katydid, with a score of 132.39.

Team and Individual Bronze for Pony Team USA at the FEI Pony World Driving Championships

The U.S. Pony Drivers defended their third-place marathon finish - driving a confident cones phase to secure a Team Bronze medal at the 2011 FEI Pony World Driving Championships in Lipica, Slovenia. Their three-phase total of 402.3 guaranteed Bronze behind driving powerhouse nations, Germany, who won on 359.4, and The Netherlands on 375.4. Additionally, Suzy Stafford - driving as an Individual for Team USA - drove an impeccable cones phase to move from fourth to third and secured her second consecutive Individual Bronze medal.

Altenfelden - The Driving Competition With Heart

Altenfelden, Austria - The 20th anniversary of the CAI Altenfelden is history. It was an event with top sport performances by competitors from 18 nations. Chester Weber, the American driving sport star and winner of the king class (the four-in-hand horse class) said, "I like the nice atmosphere of the Altenfelden competition. The people are all very friendly and try to support the competitors the best they can. During this competition I have the opportunity to meet and compete against drivers from the Eastern part of Europe more than I usually do in the other competitions. This is a great and different experience for me."

Driving For Surviving Program Will Host a Demo at the Garden State Horse Show

Children participating in sharingVillage's Driving for Surviving Program will be taking center stage at this year's Garden State Horse Show, which takes place May 5-9 at the Sussex Country Fairground in Augusta, NJ, with a highly anticipated driving demonstration. The demonstration will take place on May 8 in the Main Arena, prior to the $50,000 Garden State Grand Prix.

Dramatic Finale for Team USA in Kecskemet at 2009 FEI World Pair Driving Championships

Kecskemet, Hungary -- Team USA was in fifth position of the Team standings after dressage and marathon at the 2009 FEI World Pair Driving Championship in Kecskemet, but had a dramatic Final. Best placed US driver Larry Poulin, who was lying in 10th place, missed a gate at the final obstacle driving competition and was eliminated.

Team USA is currently in fourth position after two days of dressage at the FEI World Pair Driving Championship in Kecskemet, Hungary. Larry Poulin, Keady Cadwell and Lisa Singer are just 0.1 point behind German drivers who are defending their Gold Team medal.

FEI World Pony Driving Championships - Bronze for USA

Suzy Stafford has won the Individual Bronze medal in the Single Pony class at the FEI World Combined Pony Driving Championships in Greven-Bockholt, Germany. Team USA finished fourth in the nations competition, which was won by host nation Germany.

Fans of Driving Can See Plenty Action at the Devon Horse Show

Four-in-hand driving, evoking images of the past, will be featured evenings from Monday through Friday at the Devon Horse show and Country Fair, which runs May 21-30. Driving is also featured on Sunday, May 24, when the Carriage Pleasure Drive, arriving in the Dixon Oval at 2 p.m., begins a week of adult competition following three days of junior classes.
