We have a Quarter horse that has navicular. She wears an eggbar shoe. What else do we need to do? She is a barrel and pole horse. We give her bute. It seems to me like she is shod wrong; like the shoe is lying on the naviclear bone. Please advise. We have a Quarter horse that has navicular. She wears an eggbar shoe. What else do we need to do? I have had some problems with my horses having excessive bruising. The one is a two year old colt that I have raised. The only time he is on gravel is crossing my driveway and we make sure his feet have been picked upon returning to the barn. He has had several bad absesses. We keep him shod also.I have had some problems with my horses having excessive bruising. The one is a two year old colt that I have raised.
