After four days, six rings, and nearly 1500 rides scheduled to come down centerline, final championship titles were awarded Sunday and the competition officially entered the record books as the largest edition in the 47-year history of the Annual California Dressage Society (CDS) Championship Show, held in conjunction with the Great American Insurance Group/USDF Region 7 Dressage Championships, September 25 - 28, 2014 in Burbank, Cal.

The 3-year-old horses had a day off from showing Sept. 28 at the NRCHA Snaffle Bit Futurity in Reno, Nev., while the spotlight shined on the seasoned equine campaigners and their riders in the Non Pro Bridle and Non Pro Limited divisions.
The first leg of preliminary competition, the herd work, is complete at the 2014 NRCHA Snaffle Bit Futurity in Reno, Nev., with Smooth Classical (Smooth As A Cat x Classical CD x CD Olena) and Todd Bergen winning the round in the Open division with a 222. Smooth Classical, a stallion owned by Pam Bailey, Golden, Colo., earned $1,500 for the win, as well as a Gist buckle and a trophy sponsored by the National Cutting Horse Association.
Dubbed “the queens of the Keuring” by the Friesian horse community, Iron Spring Farm's Evita ISF and Crystal Burr's Ivanka Nicole performed to crowning achievement in front of the able hands of trainer and driver, Suzy Stafford, at the September 18 FHANA Keuring hosted at Iron Spring Farm in Coatesville, PA.
