Baeck & Whizasunnysailor BB win the €10,000-added NRHA Open

The €10,000-added NRHA Open showcased 17 of Europe’s best open horses and riders. Cira Baeck of Belgium riding Whizasunnysailor BB (Topsail Whiz x Walla Walla Sunshine x Shining Spark), owned by Ruedinger Diedenhofen, took the lead after posting a 220. “I’m very happy for this title.

Whizasunnsailor BB was born at our place and I broke and trained him. He has always been a special horse and just love him. Unfortunately during the Italian Derby last year he was injured and the recovery was pretty long,” recalls Cira. “I started showing him again this year and this is the third show we attend and also the third consecutive win. I can only be proud of this fantastic horse and I'm excited to talk about him every time.” The 7-year-old stallion has more than $147,000 LTE.

Tying for second spot in the final standings with a score of 218.5 was NRHA Million Dollar Rider Bernard Fonck with What A Wave (Tidal Wave Jack x What A Sunrise x Sunrise Enterprise), owned by Steve Vannietvelt and Gina De Pauw, and his wife, multiple past NRHA Open World Champion Ann Fonck with Ebony Spook (Smart Spook x Ebony Whiz x Topsail Whiz), owned by NRHA Million Dollar Rosanne Sternberg.

asts over in $31,000 NRHA LTE. “After the schooling class yesterday today he was much better,” said Bonzano. “Today I knew he could do better and he did. I now look forward to showing him in the Non Pro on Saturday.”
Second place honors in this class went to Nicole Huebner of Germany aboard her Starstruck Tag (Whiz N Tag Chex x Marilyns Benz x Smart Starbuck). The duo closed their run with a 215.
Starting the day on Saturday at 8 am CET will be the  Youth 13 & Under, Youth 14-18, Rookie and Arcese €5000-added Non Pro followed by the European Futurity Open finals.
