The Sierra Maldonado Scholarship, given annually by Raven Farms in memory of Sierra Maldonado, is awarded to the college student with the highest achievement at the National Reined Cow Horse Association Snaffle Bit Futurity.

The winner is determined by a point system based on placings in the Snaffle Bit Futurity in any limited age event division or horse show class. At the end of the show, all points are tabulated and the $1,000 scholarship is awarded to the individual with the highest point achievement.
