AQHA announces the dates and locations for the 2003 AQHA Educational Tour featuring noted horseman and trainer Joe Wolter. The 2003 AQHA Educational Tour, "Straight Up Horsemanship," is one of the main objectives for AQHA Corporate Partner Bayer Animal Health.

"AQHA’s Educational Tour provides riders with hands-on demonstrations that will enhance any horseman’s learning experience," said Bill Brewer, AQHA Executive Vice President. "Joe Wolter introduces techniques and methods of good horsemanship while spectators get an opportunity to see those methods work firsthand. Joe carries an admirable attitude that utilizes positive dialogue Ð a successful approach that makes him a respected educator among horsemen."

First recognized for his special talents with horses in 1970, Wolter built knowledge and experience by working for several cow outfits in Nevada and California. Wolter gained recognition starting and training colts for cutting and ranch horse competitions at theFour SixesRanch in Guthrie, Texas, in addition to traveling the country presenting 20 clinics and demonstrations a year.

Wolter will demonstrate valuable horsemanship skills that will allow horse and rider to communicate effectively. The clinic also will feature techniques to improve a horse’s performance as well as sharpen any horseman’s skill. spectators will also learn about vital animal health issues during the tour.

First Stop On The Tour
AQHA’s Educational Tour "Straight Up Horsemanship" debuted this past weekend Ð July 19 and 20 Ð at Colorado State University in Fort Collins.

An Additional Stop
The 2003 AQHA Education Tour will feature an additional clinic September 13 presented by renown horseman Buster McLaury of Benjamin, Texas. McLaury is a published author and photographer. In his training clinics, McLaury emphasizes the importance of trust and understanding between horse and rider. His tips and techniques are widely sought for young horses.
