Bullet Marketing Inc., together with Michael Whittingham, present a special opportunity for sports memorabilia collectors around the world — and racing fans alike — to own a piece of history from Hall of Fame trainer Charlie Whittingham’s personal collection. Since the legendary trainer’s passing nearly two years ago, the Whittingham family has stored these priceless items and only recently made the decision to share them with his countless fans.

"We felt our father would be most honored by allowing his fans to own some of the things that meant something to him," Mike Whittingham said. "We had been storing these things all this time and, as hard as it is for us, just recently made the decision to part with them."

A portion of the proceeds generated by this auction will go to Thoroughbred industry charities, including the Exceller Fund for retired racehorses — a natural fit as the great horse was conditioned by Whittingham himself. Also on the list of charitable organizations benefiting from the auction will be the Trainer’s Museum, Shoemaker Foundation and the Don MacBeth Memorial Fund.

"It’s a chance to give back to the sport that made my father so happy for so many years," Whittingham explained. "The trainer’s museum is something my sister, Charlene Von Bleucher, has been working on for some time now. It’s a tribute to our father and others just like him who devote their lives to racehorses."

Some of the items that will be offered include barn wall plaques, tack boxes, personal photographs, racing silks, tack, saddle towels, blankets, neckties, hats, winner’s circle pictures, webbings, and hundreds of other interesting pieces. New items will be added to the bidding regularly.

Interested bidders can register at http://www.bulletmarketing.com.

All items are accompanied with a certificate of authenticity emblazoned with the Charlie Whittingham Memorabilia Auction logo and signed by Michael Whittingham. Additionally, all items sell as is and will be shipped, at the cost of the buyer, with standard insurance unless otherwise specified.
